Currently we have 3 people from Friends of Oceano Dunes attending...but we need more!

I don't know if you've been following this, but the Coastal Commission
is scheduled to hear the Grand Ave Ramp maintenance permit appeal on
7/12 in Santa Rosa. Per OHV Division discussions with Commission staff,
the item is going to be opened but carried over until probably September
in Eureka. No public testimony will be taken on this item on Thursday.
According to our ODSVRA Chief Ranger, a bus has been hired by the Sierra
Club and those members will use the open public forum segment of the
meeting to voice objections to the emergency ramp permit we secured
through San Luis Obispo County. Although we (OHV Division) are prepared
to respond to questions the Commission may have regarding this issue, it
would be helpful to have opinions voiced during this forum that carry
the OHV message. Are representatives of your group aware of this, and is
anybody planning to attend this meeting? Please advise. You may reach me
