Do you guys offer a Dana 44 Truss? Preferably a lower profile one or something? Thanks.

I asked them a while earlier this year about a front truss that follows the D60 design they have, but for a 44.
Unfortunately one thing I've learned with this type of truss that follows the contour of the axle is that the casting is not usually the same between different axle configurations. They add ribs, take away ribs, move contour geometry and what not. I do have 1 44 in house, but I don't know what it is out of. I'll see if I can find out. I think the 14 bolt is up in line for a Rev. change right now, but the 44 could follow as we do not have much product to support such a popular axle.

I personally am looking for a rear application, but any D44 love from Ballistic would be good.

A front truss for a chevy dana 44 would be nice for guys running smaller lighter rigs and buggys that cant step up too a dana 60 right now, would be interested in seeing one for the chevy 3/4 front dana 44 8 lug if you have time. Would also like too see a better 14 bolt truss too the old one is ok but could use some freshing up.

D44 and D30 trusses are both in final development stages, keep posted. For those of you keeping track, the D30 truss will probably be released first, but not by long.

Is there any possibility of something like a Hp waggy type truss? I want to build something like a 73-77 F100/F150 44 narrowed to waggy width, and will be needing a truss.

Also will your trusses tie the dif cover into it like the BTF trusses do? I would like one of theirs but 1/2" plate is a bit much, I don't want to add that much weight.

Let me get our 30,44,60 knuckle gussets all in production and we'll get a 44 truss out. The 30 Truss was listed this morning.

We don't know, we're bringing in a 10 bolt and 12 bolt to develop covers for right now, if they are the same then it should be easy :)

Bump, I have a TJ rubi 44 with a bent passanger upper control arm mount. This would fix that and add resale value to the axle for when I go tons.

As soon as we get the Toyota Truss released we'll start a new truss project. We've had lots of interest for a new 14 bolt truss, super duty truss, updated front 60 truss and the 44 so we'll see where sales and marketing wants to take us.

Is the piggy truss gonna sit lower (tighter) to the housing? I want one but yours sits a tad high for my taste. Is it a full length truss and I should wait?

I'm not sure which truss your are referring to.

14 bolts are commonly referred to as a pig. I was asking if the new truss will sit tighter/lower on the pumpkin and will it be a full length or jus a bridge?

Maybe in your neck of the woods. Most everyone else calls a 14 bolt a 14 bolt either SF or FF.
Pigs are generally axles that have drop out center sections that can be set up on a bench. Also called drop outs or chunks. Examples would be Toyota axles, Ford 8 and 9 inch rear axles and early GM corporates aka "Eatons".

Certainly could be bud. I'm still learning, but I got that reference from pbb. I was told it gets it's nickname from the large center section digging in the ground/mud like a pig. Hence the nickname.

I call mine a C&C. Regardless of proper terminology or wheeler slang. Now that he understand I was asking how low it will sit and will it be full width or a bridge maybe he can help me make a decision to hold off for it's development.

The plan for the 14 bolt truss is to make it fit the differential shape a bit more as well as it clean it up a bit for ease of production and assembly. I do not know if we will add the bridge from the pinion guard to the truss as we already have a bridge from the diff cover to the truss and many other companies already offer a full bridge and we try not to be the "me too" guys. :D

However a front and rear tie in truss would be :grinpimp:

I have considered buying another brand so I can tie my shave in front and rear. It may not be needed, but it seems stronger in my mind.

Thanks for the response.
