Well i didn't use the skid plate because it was destroyed do to rot. I just made up some simple brakets and bolted it to what is left of the floor.

Not to sure what he was doing there but it wasn't spotting me. I usually try and run with out a spot untill I get in to trouble. (yeah I am a tough ass ha ha ha). And yes I know I need more cage! :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

the fact that you took other people with you in that SWB vehicle w/o a cage worries me.

I drive like an idiot that will live forever when i am by myself and only am endangering myself. add another human, whom i am responsible for because i am the driver...

I am just glad this isn' a post regarding your condition in the hospital.

Dad...Dad....Calm down I am in total control here. I have done this once or twice! There was no danger. As I have said befor I didn't have the cage in fully so I didn't push the truck it all the way.
Just don't tell mom I don't want her to worry.
Thanks

I don't think that is what the Amish meant when they said that you are allowed to drive a buggy. :flipoff2:

Nice pictures, did you have any trouble dropping down into Pick Your Poison?

Dude.....1st of all you don't know me. You don't know how I drive and you don't know my Rig. I under stand your concern for my safty and that of my passengers but like i said there was no danger and I was not going to but them in any danger. I by passed alot of the parts on the trails I ran because I felt that it wasn't safe. Again I thanks you for your concern and I am not taking any offence to this.

By the way what dose "glad you are on the other side of the country... " suppose to mean anyway?

I think a cage is a good idea for everyone. If I saw someone on a long steep climb or a situation where if they did roll it would be more than a flop, I would think they are a dumbass to do it without a cage. If someone wants to pull up on rocks to test their suspension and they didn't have a cage, I wouldn't scream you dumbass, you shouldn't do that without a cage.

I also didn't have to wear a helmet while riding my bicycle when I was a kid. Dangerous times.

When you see guys in YJs with stock cages on the trail do you wig out on them calling them dumbasses? What's the difference other than those little gay bars supporting the windshield frame?

FULLSIZE
09-26-2002, 01:30 PM
who's wiggin out? all i'm sayin is he's trying to defend the fact that he has the cage at home and " hasn't had the time" to install it. he could have installed it the day he went wheelin, then the next time he would have been safe.

and those stock lame bars and the windshield are stronger than nothing. have you even looked at his pictures? cant believe this even a discusion...............

Nothing to add to that. That is what i ment by "other side of the country." glad i won't have to see the accident.

again, your post is saying "but i am a good driver, blah, blah."

did u even see the link i posted? Those we PRO'S!! not weekend warriors like 95% of us! PRO'S! and they died in freak accidents! you do not want it to happen...that is why it is called an ACCIDENT!!

That looks like a very capable rig. I agree with the others, get that cage in NOW!

Paragon is WAY too lenient with the cage rule. I've seen a ton of rigs there with no cages and the windsheild down. no thanks!

Hey junior. I understand what you are saying that you think you were in control. Everybody is in control until they roll or flop. If it were just you, I'd say you were a dumbass and that is it. But take a look at this picture.

http://home.4x4wire.com/caz/pictures/devin/9_23_02/9-18-0~7.JPG

You are pretty off-camber there and your passenger is fully exposed. You should have asked her to hop out really quick to be safe. It's not a game.

Oh yeah, how about some more pics of your old lady!

ha ha.
