So i went a few moths ago on a caster and wheel buying spree..:D I had some scrap 1" gas pipe and some square in the shop so i went to build a new car..The pics are as far as i got so far..It rools around pretty good.I needed something with bigger tires as there will be times this cart will get dragged down into boiler rooms in apartment building to weld on trash compactors and do small repair like studs on boiler doors..Sometimes we have to park 5 city blocks away to avoid tickets so i figured this would work well..
I have 3 pieces of super thin diamond plate aluminum. i think its .032"..Thats gonna be for the sides. the top will be removeable so i can lift the mig out eash to change wire. The front will have a hinged door with a shock. to hold smallish parts and a lock. The top will have to hold the loops of cable and the tank will have to hold the power cord( 100ft of so cord with aligator clamp ends) Most of the connections to power are 220v single phase so im also thinking of installing a 110v cord reel sideways under the bottom.

I like the angle of the welder! Should make for nice accessibility to the controls yet not put any additional stress on anything.
Nice ergonomics! (yeah, a big word that means it's convenient and accessible!)

Try some more lighting and better focus. I'd like to see what this really looks like, it's off to a great start.

You have to lift the welder out to change the roll. You'll have to remove all the shit you put on the "door" change the welder settings. Or the 100' roll of cord.
angry black, if you seriously need to move it up and down stairs frequently I'd make it similar to this one, and use a small bottle for those trips. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3063457&postcount=28
PT, here's a good thread with better examples. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=260050

You know where you can put your rolling eyes!:flipoff2:
In the world where I live, having those control accessible from above is better than when they are angled away from me.
As it sits, none of that has to happen. FWIW, with a "Blue" welder, replacing the wire wouldn't be a problem as it sits now.
I do not support doors on horizontal surfaces because they get filled up
