*** BLUERIBBON ALERT *** BLUERIBBON ALERT *** BLUERIBBON ALERT ***
For 30 years, the Redwood National Park in Northern California has continued to enact excessive regulations
that are negatively affecting the small rural town of Orick. The Park recently installed iron gates on
several beach roads that are used by recreational and commercial surf fishermen. These closures are
also impacting wood carvers, local schools, and the town’s business community.
Please send President Bush a letter asking him to restore access to the town of Orick and to protect
the interests of rural communities as they are being impacted by excessive government regulations
and restrictive land polices.
