FEAR :rasta:
I know before I even POst this I will Prolly get flamed.........This isnt the best solution I know however??????????

OK my XJ the Front is done..........Cant Afford new rear springs right now.............The Springs I have were re-worked By a Buddy to give me about 3 Inches of lift...........They Have Sagged to about 2" of Lift.............Locall Spring shop (whom I have dealt with for years They Used to build Custom Springs for trucks up to 12" lift for the shop I worked for) They Claim with some massaging (add spring or Re-Arch as needed) they can get 2 - 3 Inches of MORE lift then they currently have for a total of 4" and gurrentee they will not sag for at least 2 - 3 years..............ALL for $80
I do have the Teraflex Rear Shackles also

Now What do you all think of this idea

Thanks
Scott

If by "gurrentee" you mean that they will guarantee all their work, then go for it, duh. If they say it will hold up the amount of arch you'er asking for, they get it in writing. It's been my experience that all springs will sag, unless they are so overbuilt that they do not flex at all. Good springs are not cheap, cheap springs are not good, you get what you pay for.

Yes my Spelling is berry vad I meen Very Bad......And yes I know all springs will sag...........My Worry are they gonna be so Stiff that it is like haveing NO Springs........Or is it going to alter my drive line to the point a SYE wont even help me (I know exageration) but I think you get my point..........I have had tons of Springs Built from Scratch with Lots of Lift HOWEVER None were re-arched and most were built with heavy payloads in mind like hauling fire wood or for wreckers and stuff

Bangler basically nailed it. Keep in mind that a real stiff spring isn't gonna want to flex very much, which is why it will hold its lift longer. In the end, its a compromise between flex and spring durability; flatter springs have a much larger range of upward and downward motion. My $.02... that is all.:D

Have you considered a small block instead of re-arching?

Yeah, just toss in a 350 Chev to bring the front down level with the rear......oh, you mean small lift block, yeah, that could work too I guess.
