Well did some Halloween Wheelin at Hollister. Finally put the Racesource sock through some work. The wife finally did in the passenger doors to the point they won't close anymore in Squeeze Rock and I finally blew out my first Bogger in the Mini Con. Was moving through great too, taking some much more challenging lines now that I'm comfortable with the new shocks. It was a great group of people out there this weekend, not a bunch of mines better than yours for a change. Oh well here's a few pics and I'll post up the video either sometime today or this evening. If any one has any pics of me up on its side with the flat when I backed up to pull of the pile post them up for me. It was cool looking out the passenger window at the ground but the girl I had taking pics missed it.

Ouverson. I have to make his brake caliper bracket a full ring though, cause the three bolts keep shearing or backing out. The brakes work awesome though especially cause I've got it running off the factory hydo boost.

Sweet truck man! I recently got back from a church mission and i was living in morgan hill and got to spend a little time in hollister. I saw your truck getting trailered around and thought, MAN! I'll probably never see that truck again!

Look familiar?
You can imagine what it's like not being able to drive my truck for two years and then seeing a beast like this thing. And living that close to Hollister for a few months and only being able to drive a toyota corrolla.... ahhh!:crybaby2: then coming home to a truck that had been started maybe twice since I'd been gone..... Glad to hear you made TTC i'll have to check it out!

The experience was awesome, but the luck wasn't. I made a bad decision suspensions wise and we got some pretty bad draws picking 2nd or 3rd to go 4 out of 7 events.

Had a guy come out and give me a price on fixing the body damage on the SuperCrawler last night. $3500 I only paid $1500 to get it fixed up and painted for TTC. Seems kinda crazy. Oh well, if anyone knows someone that will do it for $1500 let me know. It entails straightening the top door flanges, a couple small dents, and repainting the rear panels, new doors, and top of cab. For $3500 I considered changing the colors, but I think I'd rather add some cool Ford blue design like flames or something instead. Oh well After I get back from the Hammers I might just try and tackle it myself, to see if I can save the money since it's just flat white anyways.

Have the bodywork fixed at Miracle auto painting. Yeah their work ain't show quality, but the way you use your truck, you'll probably have to get it fixed again in the future.

Nah, once I fix the body back I'm going to just do sled pulls, mudding events, and open area wheeling. I'd like to take it to the Rubicon once before I fix her up.

When is it? It sucked to be down there alone. We snapped a high steer arm on the waterfall. Fixed it for the next morning but I don't know my way around so I didn't take it back out. A lot of the rigs were in their tents too so we were only able to check out half the rigs. Also a lot of people that were already qualified for KOH didn't even show up yet.

Try someone in Salinas, for how many cheap mexican paint shops there are in this town, it would be worth the tow over here to save from 3500 dollars.

Ya the only thing I have to do is add a tie rod across the OE steering arms in the rear to take the pressure off the high steer arms so I don't sheer the bolts any more, and have the over flow re-welded.

No way. Funny thing is it wouldn't be as expensive as you'd think. I just picked up two diesel Rangers. I paid the price for not doing my homework. The first one I bought was a '83 2WD with a Mazda/Perkins 2.2. It had a high idle problem but I didn't care cause I eventually want to swap a 4BT Cummins in it and convert it to 4WD. Right before I started digging into it, the one that I wanted a few years back came up for sale. It was how I found out they ever even made a diesel Ranger, and was set up with an aluminum flat bed to boot. Well I bought it sight unseen cause I personally new him and last I'd seen it was in perfect working order. Well I got home with it after finally getting around to going and getting it and I can't get it to start (think its a timing issue) and for the topper it has a different damn motor. Apparently Ford used a Mitsubishi sourced 2.3 Turbo Diesel from '85 through the end of its production. So I shot myself in the other foot. So here's the dilemma. It would cost me anywhere from 5-10K for me to swap it over to a 4BT, yet I can pick up a totaled Superduty for 3-4K and you have everything needed. The problem with both is time and I need something to drive NOW cause I can get my license back as soon as I have a vehicle with a BAC device, and there's no way I'm paying an insurance company the money it would cost for me to insure one of my good trucks.

So ya if you or anyone else ever decides to do a motor swap, plan on taking your time doing it, and can do most of the fab work yourself, doing a PowerStroke swap isn't as expensive as you'd think.
