Hey guys whats up, My name is Dustin and here is my project. 65 scout 80 with an international v8 swapped in at some time. I live in amarillo tx and I am an independant oil and gas producer here. I just got started so i am a little guy with 50 wells that i work over myself. Anyway the 80 will be used for recreational and for work when i dont want to drive my truck. I plan on puting a 5.7 or 6 liter chevy vortec with manual 5 speed. Dont know what good transfer cases mate up to those yet, then onto some d44's probably. I dont need extreme beef as i dont intend to do any rock crawling and i want it hwy drivable. My roundtrip is 200 miles everyday. I do however want to do a spring over and 33 to 35 in tires with new springs and shocks all around. So this is a mild build compared to most here.

The reason the probably won't be any rock crawling is cuz I live in the flattest part of Texas u could find and don't have time to go to crawling events or Moab. There will however be mud lots of it. That's all I got. I do want to use some rock crawler parts, such as hydraulic assist steering and fox coilovers and link suspension.

Yea thats the idea Im getting it running rite now its been sitting for a few years. as soo as i do that the suspention will get attention. whom ever did the engine swap left the 3 speed in it so Id bet on no more than 55 mph the way it sets.

Oil and Gas is a family biz, been doin it for about 10 years now

Dude SEARCH, learn, build and then contribute. Ask questions when you can not find answers in the faq or search. Then post up when you can impress, Priate is soo simple just build it, post pictures, and learn. I Guaranteee you come in here with a POS Scout and start with, when I grow up you are going get your ass handed to you. Now I strongly reccomend you read learn and grow a thicker skin.:shaking:
