I need to get my hands on a used lathe. Seems like when I didn't need one everyone had decent machines for dirt cheap on craigslist. I can't find crap now.
Got a good source for used machinery? Or you have a friend w/ a 15 or so by 36 or much larger engine lathe?
thanks

I don't even want to go into that deal. :( I would love to have that back since the tides have turned the way they have.

I have a medium size lathe sitting in my buddys warehouse. It's older but not antique. I think it's like a 12X36 or something like that. It's single phase also. I can stop by and take a look and get pics and info if you want.

Found this on eBay. I've bought a couple off of there in the past few years. Just ask a lot of questions about it, if you can't see it in person before you buy it.

I like it. Collet closer with a full set of collets, large dials on the cross slide and saddle, dual handle quick change gearbox, which means it'll have the same headstock bore size as the heavy 10 (1-3/8").
