Thanks again Lance, ever since MightyD50.com went the way of the dodo a few months back many of us Mitsubishi owners have been looking for a new home, myself included. It may take a little time, but slowly and surely we will make good use of this section. I will try to post up a buildup of my truck in the next few days.

I already picked up a set of 4.88s for the front, just need to find a gen2 with 4.90s so I don't have to pay even more to set up the rear gears, ya know:)

Roale Duke, your right about these things coming out of the woodwork. I am glad that Lance decided to give us a section, cause when I was trying to pursuade him he was sitting on the fence. It took a few weeks of back and forth before he agreed to make a Mitsubishi forum. So had anyone else ever requested a Mitsubishi forum here or was I the first?

Got my 91 V6 5spd MM with 3in BL, t bar crank, gas tank lift, hillbilly made front bumper waiting on me to get around to build a rear one, custom wrapped stock seats, 32s, rocker panel protection, CB, and most importantly non running, have some sort of a electrical harness problem that I just need to take the time and sort out.
http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/8044/redun.jpg
Got a 95 Montero SR 3.5 DOHC factory airlocker pretty well all stock for now outside of it has a snorkel and manual hubs. Bought it for 650 with a blown Headgasket, 1000dollars later its a nice rig.
http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/887/montei.jpg
Then a 91 D50 2.4 2wd daily driver/ameture hotrod. Custom intake/exhaust, balance shaft delete, soon to have a small cam and P&P'd head, 215/60/16s, mis matched front end thanks to a deer at 60mph, soon to be dropped bout 3in all the way around.

Cool, post up some pics. If it is an 86/first gen the it shoud be a standard bed. They 79-86 trucks only came in one bed length which is about 81".

I asked via "contact us" and Lance replied back saying "Bill, it just doesn't seem to fit our market at this time." Don't know if I helped you, or vice versa. Who cares as long as we have a spot here to grow from. (Thanks, Lance.)
I see a few SAS rigs in the pics that I don't recognize from The Wire. It's nice to see us starting to live in both places. Here are a couple pics of my 87 in the works. Sadly, no real wheeling pics yet.

- T-case gears at 2.85 from OZ
- 33x12.50 on 15x8 and a 33x9.50 spare on 15x6
- Second bouncy seat on PS

Interesting what you've done with that top. Do you have anymore details on how you modified your top?

Here's the leading edge. It's a channel that I got from an online boat top shop. There is a matching rubber-ish piece sewn into the top itself. It is screwed into the body with SS screws and washers from the same supplier.

It pretty fun to tool around in. Last time wheeling we did some night runs with a clear starry fall sky. That was pretty fun.
The top itself is a product called Hartz (sp?) that seems to be a standard item for making replacement convertible tops. I only have it as the one layer and it can flap a little a hightway speeds. I have some hefty velcro hold-downs that are sewn in a wrap around the bows. There are snaps all around as you can see. They again are SS from the boat shop.
The middle section that was left in has some additional structural aspects to it. I am thinking of taking it out as well and putting in some roll bar protection. Also thinking about cutting the whole top off like others have done.
I have since taken the rear and back glass out. It is really opened up now. I have some hillybilly temp plastic windows when needed that are held in with velcro. I have intentions to make some zip-in ones sort of like a Jeep or old FJ would have.

I like it, I bought a 2009 Jetta Sport Wagon with sunroof that stretches the length of the car and I love it. I don't know how I ever lived with out my giant Panoramic sunroof. I took it on the Las Vegas Strip this week and it was awsome to just look up at the Stratosphere through that huge sunroof.

Another option I have been pondering is to find a small pickup bed whose perimeter matches the SWB's roof dimensions. Then cut the bed rails from the p/u and fit them into the SWB's roof. (I'd cut the middle cross bar and fit in some roll-bar tubing.) Then get one of the hard tonneau tops that are out there now.
I would really consider this if I make the truck into a more dual purpose DD and fun, and then was looking to drive in the winter.

Nice mod. :smokin:
When I first saw the pic I thought that was a soft cover for a small p/u. I have one of those soft covers for my Ranger, and it's 4'x6', but the flareside/stepside versions might be closer to the right dimensions.
