I want to convert my Dana 60 front brakes to the 14.53 inch rotors of the F450. What's the best way to get big brakes for my Dana 60?
My question is:how does the brake caliper attach to the axle; is the caliper bracket bolted to an anchor plate that is mounted to the axle or is it bolted to the knuckle?
I know the bolt pattern is 8x170 but that can easily be drilled 8x6.5. My main concerns are how the caliper is mounted and thickness/height of the hat.
Thanks,
Art
Edit: I learned today that some 99-04 F-350s have the 14.5inch brakes.
