did a search but didnt find what i was looking for.
anyone running the JC whitney HD 7 leaf rears (for a cj) at all four corners, with 35-36s by chance? im trying to get an idea of how tall my jeep will be. i have 4" springs SUA , 1.5" shackles and i run 36" sx's. id like to stay the same height or close to it.

Here you go:
On 36 TSLs. Minus the load leaf. 1" body lift, slightly longer then stock shackles. Oops, these are the JCW YJ 7 leaf rear springs, all around.

High5 has some pics up here. Read what else he has and adjust accordingly but he does run these springs. I do as well or at least I plan to eventually.

I had a similar setup, 4" SUA and used (new) stock YJ springs...and gained 3 5/8" lift! Whee!
On 36s, no pics, WIP.

How did pulling the load leaf affect axle wrap? Those springs are on an my list for this winter but was wondering if replacing the load leaf with long full length add-a leaf would be the ticket. Or are they stiff enough without?

you will need a anti-wrap bar reguardless. i only ran a rear traction bar when i first installed the springs about a year and half ago. i removed the overload leaves from all packs. the rear was fine beacause of the traction bar but the front was not. i ended up putting the overload leaf back in the front. it works pretty good like that. i still would wrap a bit on steel loose climbs. i recently built a front traction bar just like the rear one (sam's style) and it works awsome. i lost most all of the hop i used to get on the steep loose climbs. the jc whitney springs are good springs an flex really well but like i said you will need a rear traction bar.

Okay High 5 what's your wheelbase and how much section did you add to your tub behind the door? From the above pics it looks to be at least 10". Did you all section and extend the frame? Just currious. Sorry about hijacking the thread.

my cj5 has a 100" wheelbase with the body and frame lengthend 15" behind the door openings. the front was also moved 1.5" forward to completed the 100" wheelbase. it did look good at one time but that was a few rolls, rocks, trees, etc. ago. now it is a surfers dream (on big wave). if ii had it to do over again i would have just moved the rear end back. the extra space inside is nice but not worth all the work just to have more sheetmetal to mangle.
