Sweeeeeet. Good to have you on board.

So which axles did you go with? Also what are you plans for the Tcase?

How much longer? :flipoff2:

Looking forward to wheeling with that rig. Two SAS sports on the same trail, Earth might implode. :D

I have a NP231 in it out of a 98 Jeep Cherokee, i've posted a lot of info on 4x4wire about it, i'll do a full write up on it once i get the sensors worked out, but so far it was really straight forward, no modification except to the sensor wheel, i will explain that later.

Front axle is a Dana 44 high pinion, rear is a ford 9 inch, both came out of a 70's ford truck. Wheels are newer dodge ram wheels.

Danny, if i sell my lexus soon I'll have this thing on the road in no time, as it sits im doing a little at a time. I work on it 1 day every 2 weeks it seems!! :mad3:

A mitsu section, whats next, Kia? :flipoff2:

If I was you I'd start getting a plan formed for the steering and panhard. ;)

Well, i'm moving the steering box forward like danny did (see his thread "Raole Duke") then from there, probably copying some of what he did steering wise. But, hard to plan shit when im not in front of the truck!

Maybe it's just the angle of the picture, but it looks llike the track bar and drag link are not parallel. If you get bumpsteer, you may need to build a bracket like this one to raise the end of your track bar so it is parallel with the drag link. Just disregard the circled ball drag link joint, it just the only pic I had. You also want the drag link and track bar to be the same length.

This is one cool Sport build.

It was way off in that pic, like I said those are old pics, before I first drove it I lowered the frame side trackbar mount about 6"

I had to dig this up from 4x4wire, posted by Alphamale on 12-20-07:eek:

Just posted a wanted ad for some waggy 44's. Assuming the driveshaft ordeal doesnt hold me up long i assume from start to finish it should take me less than a month (im taking the summer off college so i'll have time.)

I bet if you add up the number of days i've worked on it, it would be less than a months time ^_^

Nothing much for updates, got some 37's for it finally. Girl in the pic is wearing 5 inch wedge boots, they're more than half as tall as she is.

Are you going to get some stub hubs? If you leave them sticking out like that I could see you damaging them rather quick.

Now more pics of girl in boots!

that looks like a long bolt capturing both those heims on the passenger side knuckle in single shear. i would re-do that setup if i were you. the last thing you want is to bind up the tire and steer and break that bolt. you should just weld a two tabs on top of the tie rod and run your heim on there. it would be a lot stronger and basically eliminate almost any chance of a failure as far as a bolt shearing.

did you not read the thread? did you just come in here to make a comment about something that has long since been taken care of? the steering has been changed/fixed.

I am really interested in this build as well, I have a 98 mitsu sport with 31's currently, and would like to go to 37's myself..... I have a corporate 14 bolt from a 72 3/4 ton chevy camper special,,, still working on getting the front axle,,, then I have to figure out if I want leafs or coils,,,,,
Coils like like the better choice by far for installation,,,, I will have lots of questions on this thread,,,lol
Looks great, rock on!!

Judging by the look on her face, you lost points making her stand by that tire. :flipoff2:

Thank you.
The only miles on that setup were from rolling in and out of the garage.

I wheel with a buddy that has stacked heims on his xterra, several broken 44 axles- no broken steering. :flipoff2:

well the OP made it look like the under side shots of that thing were his, in fact when they were yours. NO there are no fixes being shown to that steering setup here in this thread (other than the ram being on there and the tire blocking the view) because in fact those pictures are of your junk in a different build. :shaking: the cross posting got me mixed up.
