Has anyone ever taken one of these, and turned
it into a long wheel base Samurai?

here is my buddy langston's rig. the body and frame were lengthened 10" just behind the door openings. the front and rear were also moved outboard to give him a total of 97" wheelbase. he is running a 8 valve efi 1.6L, waggy d44's, wrangler springs, and 36x12.50 sx's .

A guy I know over here in Oz has done it. It's made out of about 4 or 5 different Zooks. I've got a picture of it if someone with a red star would like me to email it to 'em so they can post it.

It looks pretty cool, kinda like a Zook version of the Toy Land Cruiser troop carrier.

so you are saying he can't do the same with the hard top? i showed it because it has a lengthened body. it is lengthend just behing the door openings which is where you would probably want to do it to a hard top.

Thanks for the input guys.

I like the amount of head room in the blue one.

More of what I am really after is to see if anyone has hacked up a hardtop short wheel base to be
a hard top long wheel base.

My lwb had acres of headroom with the removable hartop on. I'm 6'2" 220 and it was fine.

I have followed the instructions that came with this
picture and destroyed it from my computer.

The thing I don't get is that for someone who works
for the Computer Sciences Corporation as a Systems Engineer
and cant figure out how to post a picture on the net is Odd.:flipoff2:

Thanks for the picture Damo

hey oilburner, if you ever wheel with langston, you will learn to be behind him and watch for him backing up. one of the most fun people i have ever wheeled with. hell i built my front bumper because of him. mike

No Red Star here. Posting it would have involved uploading it somewhere and that is WAY to much effort :flipoff2:

Once again the Moose was right on the money :D
