I used them but I notched the shock tower instead of the frame then cut the tub to allow them to lean in.

The only thing about a CJ frame is that the rails are underneath the rear cargo area of the tub unlike a YJ or TJ where they are outboard. I'm fairly sure you would also have to notch out the body to clear the F250 towers. Kind of has me wonder why you would even need to do the frame notch in the first place since the frame is not as wide.

do you have pics of this?

and i was thinking i had to notch the frame just becasue thats what ive seen on all the other jeep that outboard the rear shocks....i guess i probably havent payed enough attention to realize that they were probably all wranglers that had the frame notched and not CJ's....

if anyone has pics of how they did the ford shock towers in the rear that would be awesome....

Thanks!

You do not need to notch the tub on a CJ, the towers fit great. I have them at all for corners.

Granted this mod link wasnt done on a CJ but you get the idea.

I'm not full width so I had to notch to keep the tires from hitting the shock body. I don't have any finished pics but you get the idea, these are from about 5 years ago and I've gotten a little smarter since :p

14" shocks, rear is 60" wms-wms with 3.5" bs wheels. I have the narrow frame like CTD NUT referred to.
