Hey guys,

We got moved in last week/weekend and I've spent most of that time getting our crap from SLC and getting it moved in the house.

Spent yesterday/today running to Home Depot getting countertops etc. for my office and setting it up today.

Now I have a real place to work! Now to get the tools here and start cranking on finishing these trucks.

BTW, we have a guest room and I'll attatch a pic of the view from my office.

There's Gass Peak which is 2116m. (6300+ ft) just to the N. The view is looking directly north at the Las Vegas Range in the Desert National Wildlife Range (FYI).

Anyway, let the fun begin in Vegas eh?

By the looks of your view, you are in the Northwest area of LV, I'm figuring a little north of Summerlin (but still close), north of Charleston Blvd, but south of Centennial...Am I close? Nice view and nice community park!

Yeah, we're basically at Farm/Decateur. The park was a bonus that's for sure.

We'll have to get together and do some Roverin' sometime soon. I have a few places I want to check out, maybe you know of some local spots of interest too.

Also, I don't know JACK on where to be buying stupid things like Grade 8 hardware etc....

I'm a newbie in more ways than one!
I'm not involved with the local club (yet). I purchased my '95 Disco this April after our Subaru was totalled. We have yet to take the Disco wheeling (seriously...we've taken it on some trails, but nothing noteworthy). I just got out of the ACVW hobby, sold my '66 Beetle last weekend and I am picking up an '83 RRC this weekend. The RRC will be the primary play-toy...
Hopefully I can get the ball rolling to shake this poseur status...maybe you can kick me in the ass, too!

Yeah, the dial-up (ack) is up and running. DSL may or may not be available (they'll let me know....whatever!)

So, it might have to be cable, dunno yet.

Hey Dude, Congrads on the new Digs!
Once we unload this place above Sili Con Valley we are headed to San Diego... this will be a pretty close cruise to Vegas... SO I suspect we can do a bunch of runs together between here and there....

I'll keep ya posted! Things in our price range are moving very slowly, but I've looked at the competition and we look good... so wish us luck!!
Some of the houses we looked at in SD have a complete separate guest house, plus muchos bedrooms for hosting Rover Folks! Plus 3 or 4 car Garages!

I either need a buyer here or a job there, don't matter ( OK a buyer here is my goal :) Then a job down there I'll keep y'all posted! )

Legoland? That's funny, because I have a red ball-cap that says 'Legoland' on it. It's my fave...

Help on my endeavor? Yeah, I'll need help in the not-too-distant future, but I'm not ready just quite yet. Also, it probably won't be enough to replace *your* current endeavor, so something to think about.
