Ok, so I have been finding a ton of oil dripping off the old 4.2 after driving my jeep at highway speeds for as little as five miles. I had my wife rev it in the garage, and to my dismay the oil was coming out of the dipstick tube in a steady spray. What the heck causes this? I am trying to think what has been changed since I bought the jeep (it didn't do it then), but nothing comes to mind that leads to too much oil pressure in the crankcase. Any help is greatly appreciated at this point, since i am going on a run this weekend.
Thanks in advance!

I will go ahead and reply to you question, without using the quote button like a lot of morons do when they are the first ones to reply.
Could it be a plugged breather/pcv, combined with a lot of blow-by?

4.2's never did have a good crankcase ventilation system. I would first check and see if the crank case is over filled then I would look for damaged hoses.

I checked all the hoses and the engine is not overfilled. I remember looking at some boat high perf motors that had springs on the dipstick to hold them in tight, as they are always running at high rpms. I put one on the dipstick, as mine seems to really leak at 3500 rpm+. I guess I'll wait and see what happens. Ahh, the joy of driving the highway with no overdrive!
Thanks for the comments!
