hey guys, got mud in my power steering pump.
my question is what exactly should i do? i know there's mud in it, because the ps fluid i put in it is clear, and when i look in the resevoir, its brown. so should i flush the system? is it possible? rebuild it? or should i just leave it?

if it bugs you flush it out, if not run it, i think i would clean it out

how do you flush out the power steering pump?

Take off the steering box end of the low pressure hose and stick it into an empty bottle. Fire up the motor till the fluid stops coming out. Put the hose back on, fill with clean fluid, then repeat. Repeat till you are happy with the color of the fluid coming out.
