i'm currently setting mine up and I talked to Lance and he said to get the Reservior as close to and above the pump with the shortest hose possible. He said most failures are due to starving the pump and/or hammering the pulley on the pump itself.

Right on guys i appreciate the help. I have been using that psc link but didnt even read the res page.

If you look at my engine bay from the front my resivor is mounted at the top back right side of the firewall. I probally have 1'6" of hose until it reaches the pump. Ill have to try to direct mount like you guys are saying.

Also my res is only a stock toyota resivor. Could that be causing any problems?

Another question is how long does it take to usally bleed all the air out of the system? I followed the PSC instructions and air bubbles kept forming after 2 hours of their method. (turn lock to lock 10-15 times, let cool for 10 mins)

the PSC res has a fairly large outlet on the bottom. Perhaps your factory res has a smaller outlet causing insufficient flow? I told him that my line would be about 12" long and at a 45 and he said that was not a good idea. I found another way. I'll get a pic of mine friday if you want.

what i did,b4 starting engine, take hoses off ram fill both sides with fluid.a turkey baster will work(or a used fleet enema if you got one).tap on it to help all air bubbles rise to the top.now attach lines to ram but not to valve.fill lines, hold them up for they will fill all the way.take your time, bang em on something to get all bubbles out.now do this on all your junk b4 start up and this will help.what you have now is a system full of air.
