Im wanting to take my 88 22re wiring harness for my f-toy eliminate everything but what is needed... Every sensor ect. Anyone ever done this? Im not running any heat, turn signals, I dont even need the wiring for lights..

Look up 'iseloz's 22R-22RE swap thread in the Pickup and 4Runner forum. It will give you pinouts from the ECU and wire colors. That will help you eliminate all the extra stuff.

I think the 88 had the body harness integrated with the engine harness, so you've got quite a bit of work in front of you. good luck!
