Last thursay I was checking out the rigs for the rock crawling championships in my local Wal Mart parking lot. I saw who I thought was Lance (from pictures on the board) near his rig and introduced myself. He had no idea who I was but still chatted with me anyway. I was out at the rock crawling Saturday and when the event was over Lance and Mike stopped to sign not only my son's shirts but other childrens shirts as well. They were tired and I'm sure ready to get back to camp but took time out to talk with the kids. Although I dont post much on this site I'm always reading it. I thought this was worth posting. Thank you Lance and Mike you made my kids day!! btw great job on the rocks!

Dont pat 'em on the back just yet. I'll bet they were just scamming the place out, looking for free beer.:flipoff2:

no actually they were giving away and signing shirts. :rolleyes: we had an ice chest full of beer but acording to thier sponsor they are not allowed to drink at events.

Yeah I was totally impressed that they turned us down for two cold beers...Lance even got out of the vehicle to make it easier...keep up the good work but we will have to work something out for refreshments, indy has milk, nascar and nhra gets gatorade....what does everyone think about Sobe' or maybe caffine accelerated drinks....I think orange juice would be good..then we can spike it with vodka.....

I was also impressed with Camo and crew with the 12 minute birfield swap. That was the quickest I've ever seen it done.

Yeah i saw that too. It was 5 min after they finished the last course of the day, and they were both beat. Lance looked like he was ready to pass out. They stopped and both climbed out of the rig (didn't exactly look easy to begin with) and started signing shirts and talkin to the kids. Every time they tried to get back in another kid would run up and they hopped right back down. I thought that was very cool of them both. I can understand doin it at the beginning of the day, but doin it when your tired and sweaty and beat is definitely something most wouldn't do.

Yeah, they are both great guys, and Im sure they are both loving their new celebrity status.
But even in the whirlwind of a season that they have had, I was really impressed that Mike took the time to sign my "Ass", while they were, resting and relaxing on the Con.
