I'm using the Parker Hanifin (sp?) lines that are sold by Earls. They are typically used for nitrous but it's the same teflon lined stainless braided material sold in other brake line kits.

The only difference is the premade lines have two female fittings and you can buy adapters to go to almost any type of fitting you want. The lines come in many standard lengths and can be custom made to fit your needs. The 26" ones I have ran ~$20 for the line and another $10 for the fittings. I'm going to use these for my ARB also. That way I can carry 1 spare line for the brake lines or the air line.

Gearman, turned me on to a great source in the Scato area, or anywhere for that matter (the fact that its right down the street from his shop sure is convenient though).
American Street Rod in Rancho Cordova, carries just about everything you could imagine, and the guy really knows his products.
For brake lines, he suggested a great system, which is what I run now. He simply supplys you with braided lines (Earls), with AN3 fittings on both ends. Then you buy the banjo fittings, T blocks, or whatever connection you need, with an AN3 connection. I set up all of my hard lines (front and rear), to accomodate a 30" flexable line, from the frame mounting bracket, out to the axle, or caliper connection. Now if a line breaks, I just swap the connectors to a spare 30" line, and reconnect. And the AN fittings work awsome because they swivel right up until final tightening(or you can get swiveled AN fittings if you need more free movement).
Price comes out to about $25 for a 30" line with connections at both ends, but replacement lines once you have the fittings is $17.
He has an On line website, for ordering.
www.amstreetrod.com
his number is 916-638-3275,..I cant remember his name though.
He puts you in his computer when you order so that reordering, is really simple if you are replacing parts.

I love the stainless AN fittings, it nearly impossible to screw one up and cause a leak.

Don't fret about the DOT thing. As long as you use a quality stainless steel jacketed, teflon inner hose (Aeroquip, Earl's, etc) you're good to go.

I've used the stuff with pre-swedged ends and the style where you cut the hose to length and twist on your own ends on several vehicles (street, offroad, and race) without a single failure. For the racecars we use -3. For offroad, -4 looks "tougher."

www.aeroquip.com for more info on building your own lines.

where ever you get em from if you use the DIY ends, just carry some extra olives and you can field fix a pulled end or even make a whole new line reusing any custom adapters...

Ive been having good luck ordering through Summit Racing with free shipping/no tax and 2-3 day ship times.... average ~$6 /ft on the AN-3 TFE hose and $3-$5 for for female ends. (all aeroquip stuff)...(straights/90s cheeper)

On a side note, my bro runs dirt car and says many drill out the banjo fittings on the GM calipers and tap them to NPT and use an aluminum adapter ($3 each) saves some fittings if your adapting to/from goffy stuff and.... the alum. fitting will snap before the line does and is easily extracted/replace....

I just ordered some parts for my rock buggy through Pit Stop USA, and they were very friendly, and well priced. No handling fee's and cheap shipping.

Marina is even seeing what kinda price she can get me on the new Bilstein Rockcrawler Coil Overs. Probably still out of my budget though.
