I snipped this from the local paper here in Santa Cruz. It say June 6th but was published today.

June 6
Environmentalist go to far. Looney-tune environmentalists say we should get rid of vans, cars, trucks and other gas-combustion engines. Now they’re even picking on lawn mowers.

First, let me state that everyone wants clean water, clean air and wastes taken care of, but the looney tunes are going too far.

To rid our country of vehicles would ruin our economy. Everything travels on wheels, from agriculture to manufacturing. Environmental looney tunes aren’t reasonable and want to shut everything down.

If a salamander is found, that land cannot be used, which hurts our economy. If a certain weed or flower or mud puddle is on a
farm, it’s shut down and the owner has no control over land use.

These looney tunes want no trees cut, no mining, no grazing on government land, no coal or oil power plants and never any
nuclear plants. We need power, don’t we?

Who do these looney tunes think they are that they can tell 260 million people what to do? I’ve a few questions for them. Do you live in a home built with lumber? Do you drive a car? Is there any electricity or natural gas in your home? Do you have any gold rings, diamonds or perhaps copper and brass plumbing?

Looney tunes, I say to you, get on your deerskin suits, for you wouldn’t want manufactured clothes. Of course, a couple of deer have to lose their lives for you. Get your hatchet, hoe, rake and shovel — made by the above- mentioned industries. Go to the
timberland of the spotted owl and live. But remember, you can’t cut the trees, bother the habitat of the animals or kill any animals for food. Also, don’t build any fires. We will find your skeleton in a few months.
