my air cooled 120A 9 series torch is about burnt up. i do some aluminum welding with my lincolin 175 squarewave and the torch has taken the brunt of it. my criteria: water cooled, 25ft, at least 200A and around the $150 price mark

im looking at this torch.

also whats that connector called that lincolin uses like a quick connect on the front of the machine? the power and gas flows through it.

edit: this is for mostly home use no production but when i can tig welding somthing i do.

You cant go wrong with a 20 series torch, ive used them on many machines and cant find any complaints. Make sure to get a gas lens for it as well. It gives you much better gas coverage with less flow.

You got it, its a fine screen that evens out the gas flow and reduces turbulence.

Next year I plan to get a water cooled torch too.. other things priority first ;)

Let us know how you like that one :)

The cooler is more $ for me.. since I don't have one yet.

Indeed!!

I love my 25' leads. I currently have a 50' ground lead though. :flipoff2:

I bought 50' of cable so when the time comes that I want to "stick" something, I will just cut the ground lead in half and put a stinger on one end. Then I'll have 25' stick leads as well.

I got their 12 ft version with my HTP Invertig 201 / water cooler setup. Mine came with a CK Worldwide 20-series torch. I also got their pyrex gas lens cup kit (ok, a little blingy, but hey, when I go all in, I go all in :D). I like the torch, it's light and easy to maneuver. And the leather cover is nice as well, keeps it all together. They did some heat shrink on the torch end as well. I think you'll be happy with it.

The torch is, well, a torch. But to me it's the little attention to details. The cover is good quality, I've dragged it across the floor, stepped on it, etc and it's still looking good (though dusty). The heat shrink has stayed put and the torch lines have had no leaks on me at all. The cover is flexible. I'm happy with it. Here's a picture if you're interested. I also had HTP put together a 'customized' mig gun for my Miller 252, and it turned out nice as well. Allows me to run .023 wire now (my old gun wouldn't).
