Hey,

In preperation for my BW to LT-230 swap in the not-too-distant-future I'm getting my parts in line.

I'm thinking that this truck will be the first to get my redesigned air suspension system, so I'd like to put in a high-quality CV front drivline to eliminate any vibes from it.

As drive height will be changing, does that factor into which type of CV driveline to get, or which manufacturer would be best?

I was thinking Tom Woods (I have friends in Ogden), but I haven't really researched it yet (and yes, I'm too damn lazy to do a search). :flipoff2:

Thoughts??? Caviats???

Anyone giving them away???

If I can get someone to help me speak italian and deal with equipe, I think that is the way to go. 220.00 us, with new flange, made to order. I don't think it get's any better. I just am having trouble with the translation issue.

IMO, go with High Angle or Tom...Personally I like dealing with Jess (more personable)…Although because of cost constraints I elected to use Six States (Eric) for my application (beat everyone by $150/shaft…I just can't deny those numbers. Of course I still don't have my shafts yet…I have a feeling Eric way underestimated the cost of the 1350…Anyway…

Because you do run mild HP, smallish tires, and because this is a front shaft we're talking about I would say that a 1310 CV would be adequate...However now that your in rock country I would seriously consider running a 1350 up front...Why not? You're talking about another 100 bucks for total and complete piece of mind regarding strength.

The Euro drive shaft looks good...But I personally would be hesitant about it until I got the details of what u-j's they use. Not so much on the strength issue, but on uj availability. I betcha' dimes to donuts that they are Jag cv's…

IMO, stick with good ol' spicer 1310 or 1350.

I just installed a Tom Woods and love it! I called them on tuesday, it shipped wendsday and was at my door friday! The only shitty part was the paint job which flaked off immediatly. Otherwise, the flange fit wonderfully and the entire install took about 30 minutes. As far as the measurements, I measured flange to flange and thats all they needed!

I'd go with High Angle. I've seen TWs driveshafts have problems every once in a while (only like 3% though). I've never seen anyone (in the Jeep community) have problems with High Angle.
