I am getting ready to start building the 4 link for the front of my CJ and am planning on using a "Flex"/"Johny" Joint. is there a differance between the differant ones on the market, rustys, ballistic, RE, Currie, so on and so on. I am planning on the weld on style. and to be honest i did not know how to search this question so flame on if you must :flipoff2:

Johnny Joints are Currie's joint. It's not a general term. Some offer more range of motion and misalignment than others. If you'll be driving the rig on the road a lot, I'd go with JJ's. They can't be beat IMO. If it's going to be trail only, I'd go with Ballistic, Evolution Machine, or Poly.

Oh I know that Johnny Joint is the registered trademark of Currie. But i know that there are many people out that call all of the joints that look like that either ballistic or johnny joints regardless who made them.
The righ might see limited trail use since i live so close to Gulches ORV park but it will see a lot more trailer and trail time than anything.

Different options here. How much do you want to spend, how much operating angle, rebuildable, etc.
