For steering knuckles. If a person is going to switch from tierod ends to heim joints, is it better to drill out the wholes, or put in tapered inserts?

Tapered inserts ain't gunna work too well with heim joints man. :flipoff2:

Heims Suck IMO go to dodge TRE # ES2847(RH) ES2848 (LH)

Then drill and run tapered inserts upsidedown.

Hey thanks.

This is an option hadn't thought of. Currently, the TRE's aren't an issue as far as wear, but it would seem that under articulation, they may limit, or rather inhibit travel.

My goal is to actually get a better drag link out of the deal, side benefit to be to free up the cycle of droop and stuff. My limited view on it was that Hiemes would be better for this issue.

Thanks for the input about not going with tapered inserts.

Let me prevail upon your opinion about TRE vs Hiems, specifically, why you prefer one over the other?

Long term durability, smoother range of motion... ?

Thanks,
William

Tierod ends won't limit travel on the tierod at all. Hiems work fine on the drag link but wear out pretty fast when used on the tierod because there is often allot of force triing to push the tires in 2 opposite directions where the drap link only has to deal with the force of the box.
