does anyone know the dimention s of where the crossmember is on a 5 speeds frame rails? I am thinking that I need to make new flanges and use the same crossmember? any help would be apreaciated thanks Shamus I am thinking someone could measure their truck and find a spot like the front link mounts and measure back to say the center of the crosmember? thanks

The crossmembers are the same for auto and manual. The mount is the same but the bracket that goes between the transmission and the mount are different.

so I guess the floor is diffrent? or the rubber mount I have from the 93 is what is the problem the crossmember is directly below the pedistal on the tranny so the plate and mount would raise the tranny into the floor Do the newer (96) trucks with manual s have a removable floor/trany cover? this truck is on 42s boggers chipped 360 ,I have a ford 205 and some other 205s and 203s I would like to set up a doubbler behind the nv4500 but not sure what combo will work to keep the drivers side drop? thanks again for the help I learn so much from the people on Pirate what an asset it is

You need the rubber mount from the auto you took out and then find a bracket for a '96 NV4500 to go between the rubber mount and the transmission.

so I learned that the 93 nv4500 has a mount that is almost flush with the bottom of the case the later like 2000 tailsection is raised @ 2-1/2 in. so I swapped them and walla it fits! now to customize the 4wd shifter! bracket
