Do you have plans to have available a "shaved 13 bolt" diff cover to go with the kit? Seems some other options are hitting the market without having to do a full shave and weld and allows guys like me to do simpler mods without necessary welding equipment and skills. :p

At this point I had not because it was a simple operation and much easier to do when starting with a complete housing and cover.

When welding the Diff Cover itself we want that extra material on the ring to keep distortion to a minimum. Without it the ring will need much more machining to make it flat afterwards.

To do a reasonable shave, mark the housing well so you know how much you can safely remove. Bolt on the cover and do them together so they match perfectly when done.
