You forgot the most popular answer

All the above

For the most type of material and amount of material to be welded would decide what process to use in my case :p

All the above

You can pick multiple options, not just one.

i tombstone stick almost everything, though i do have a 110 mig that works surprisingly well with flux core wire on the thinner stuff.

I use my Hobart Handler 140 with .035 FC wire for most everything up to 1/4" and everything thicker I use my old 220v ARC welder.

i own a 110v mig and a 175 tig. any thing that can un bolt from the truck gets tig welded. if its structual or a tow/winch point it gets tig welded. i need a 220V mig badly.

Just depends on what I'm welding. Links, Driveshafts etc get Tig, Brackets, plate etc get Mig, Cast stuff gets Stick.

Mig gets used 90% of the time, Tig 7% and Stick 3%.

Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC SMAW welder and a Lincoln sp-125 MIG with Innershield. I use the Lincoln for most everything up to 1/4" in thickness, everything else above that I use the stick.

It all depends on what, where, and the purpose of the weld. All of the welding processes have their niche, even bacon.

I have an old lincoln ac/dc tombstone, and a newer Idealarc SP-255 mig. The Idealarc mig is the most amazing thing in the world (digital display, smart auto set, all you do is tell it what gas, wire, and thickness metal you are using and it does the wire speed/voltage settings automatically)

I have not used the stick welder once since I got the mig.
