Thats the way RE has the Eyes wound.

Make sure you put an anti wrap bar on that rear axle. RE springs are really soft.

You haven't seen my Brown Shorts have you. There was a picture of her floating around here somewhere....

Actually, earlier this year I was waiting on my Dutchman axles and usually Brown Shorts gets here at around noon. We'll he didn't get here until 5PM and my friends all left at 2PM. Nobody was arount to help me hoist my rack onto my XJ (not a one person lift anymore with the welded in floor) so I made Brown Shorts help. Pretty funny.

Does RE say why they wind the eyes that way? Maybe to get more arch with less lift???

$92 each!! (best price ANYWHERE!!)

And yes, they are rolled backward, it slows the sagging.

I have those on my YJ and they work killer. I have yet to have any spring wrap in the rear, so I don't feel the need to run an anti-wrap bar. Maybe as they get softer, but who knows? So far, Rubicon and Fordyce with no problems.

Enjoy!

Do the bushings and bushing shaft come with the springs or did you order those separately? If they come with the springs, are they the greasable type?

How many leafs do you run at each corner? Also, do you have a winch on the front?

To answer Rogers question:

I use the springs as sent with six leafs in the back two and 5 in the front two. RE puts an extra one in the rear to compensate for various loads. The fronts are consistant, so they only put five leafs in them.

UK-Did you try them out yet?

Yup, they are on now. REALLY nice ride! 3" higher than i was so i'm at 19" at the skid plate. and 26" at the rockers. Haven't flexed em yet, but on the street, they run so much better.

Cord, ask jay@mesa4x4.com. Best prices anywhere (and i LOOKED!!). Saved me about $30 each spring

Roger. Yes they come with poly bushings, and sleeves. No bolt, i just reused my greasables...

Tim, just as a heads-up, you might want to check to see that all your brake & ebrake cables are OK lengthwise. Wouldn't want to pop a line while flexin'.

When I first installed mine, I let the front & rear droop down to see if they'd be OK. The fronts had a little slack left in the lines & figured I would run it to see if they'd be OK. Murphy cropped in during the last optional obstical on Lower Terminator. The drivers side broke loose. :( We did a trail fix & later that day installed 31" lines.

Talked to Jay and that price was part of a group buy he did. He could only do $270 shipped to me. I found some for $230 shipped so I went that route. Hope they work.......
