View Full Version : 99 Dodge Ram Suspension Problem???

I hear a thunking coming from the front end of my 99 Dodge ram 4x4 extended cab Sport . I am not sure if it is steering related or suspension related?? any ideas?? Can't really see anything wrong? Not sure where to look first <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">

Check out the trac bar....those joints can wear out or come lose and that will make a clunk in it!

I had a clunk also, so I replaced the track bar with one made by DT--it's a nice unit--anyway the clunk is gone--chris

Toy, convert it over to the 3/4ton trac bar...i lifted mine and that help stable it out, and it is a bit stronger so you shouldnt have to replace it again!

DT---1-888-776-2403----they make an upgraded track bar-it's a nice piece--it's straight vs. the stock one that's got the 1/2 circle bend in it---chris
