heya guys, i have been ghosting the forum here for a long time, love it.
anyways, i am into a build on a 78 f150 short box, mostly for mud, non competition, at least for now. i have a built 460... now my question, my intake is an rpm air gap, which is tall, i plan on running a predator carb, but i would like to run a 6 inch k&n on it, and keep it under the hood..im not sure on how much clearance i have yet, the trucks in pieces right now, but does anyone know of perhaps a "kit" to build your own drop air breather lower?
jus curious i see people have done alot of inivative things on this forum ;)
thanks in advance guys!

Rich

Are you planning any type of body lift or cowlhood? My 78 bronco has the wieand tunnel ram and 2 predators and it would clear 2 3" filters ontop of 5" velocity stacks under the hood but I had a 3" body lift. But I had a scoop so instead I cut out the hood put on 2 6.5" rise velocity stacks and a Mr. Gasket 3 butterfly scoop on and the scoop just sticks above the hood.
