I have a 1.5" drop from the grade of my garage floor to outdoor slab. I am looking for sources for a 1 to 1.5" "ramp" to take up the difference...kind of like some of the threshold rubber material that is available. ??? I have two 16' wide doors, so I would need at least 32'. My other option would be to just cut and bevel the existing concrete-I have about 4-5" to work with before the door seal.

see rough diagram:

I don't know of anything commercially available, but could you cut the flange off a piece of metal channel and lay it so it works as a ramp?

might get a black cable guard like this and cut it in half....

2x6 or a 2x8, cut a bevel on one edge, give it a coat of oil and yer done.

Don't cut the concrete! You could easily get the slab raised by pumping mud under it. All they do is drill some holes and pump "mud" under the slab. Call some concrete guys or even check the phone book. Your application shouldn't cost that much. Maybe $300-$600.

go to your local HD or Lowes and buy a normal threshold and cut it in half you'll have about 3-5" to make the transition and will likely be Aluminum and you'll be able to bolt it down.

Then I will have a potential water grade going into the front of the garage-the main reason why the front pad is 1.5" below grade. I just poured teh font pad 3 days ago-I could have easily formed it up to the floor grade if I wanted. I did not want countour the actual concrete into the key-I know it would just break over time.

The thresholdd plan may work....thanks for the input
