Well, once I got done treating it like a Glock, it works great.

No lightweight recoil spring, and running factory ammo, and it runs great.

I also made the mag release easier to depress by bending the spring. Bad idea. The button was already lighter than a Glocks... and on stage 1, it decided to vomit the mag three times. Whoops. :emb2:

Bent that back where it's supposed to be, and it ran perfect.

Now I just have to get used to the trigger (had at least a half-dozen tigger freezes) and work up a reload for it. I plan to switch from 147 to 124gr bullets to get a little more slide speed for it. It still won't consistently lock open when shooting weak-hand-only for me. We'll see what happens when I throw a bunch of rounds downrange to break it in.

A horrible first stage, and I still won overall against some pretty good shooters. I'm liking this gun. Now I need to go run about 2-3,000 rounds downrange to get to know it. It still feels... wrong. ;)

bring it by my place in DEC and we can help you break it in...

We had Docs SW in aug and shot it...hell, Scott fired it gansta style at the 265 gong...was pretty good with it too.

we all treated it like someones elses gun, I mean, we shot it a lot.LOL

I think if you just get out on shoot it, rather than trying to mod the hell out of it, you may be happily surprised.

Now where did I hear something about leaving the springs alone on an M&P?:flipoff2:

Glad it's working out for ya, good job on first.

Hadn't seen ya on the board in a while, was starting to wonder if you were all right or not.

Any more word on possible backing for the season?

Shooting incessantly has turned out to be EXTREMELY unhealthy for my marriage. Almost killed it. So I haven't been to any matches (and barely on any forums) for a while.

S&W isn't even accepting applications until next spring.

Good call, keep momma happy. Trust me, I'm on my second go round. Anything that keeps you that busy (or away from home in my case) requires carefull attention to the home life.
