need some input on this, i have some 3" angle iron, should i just use 1 piece of angle iron and brace it w/some flatbar and weld it to the frame, or use the 1 piece to put the hanger on and turn another piece opposite, like one side against the frame and the other on top of the frame and weld those toegther and brace it? any input?

Angle iron against the frame, plate to brace it and a hanger underneath.

mine are just 4"x1/4" welded to the frame, and through bolted with four bolts (and sleeved, and a plate on other side) because I am not a professional welder and am paranoid. :D

Will be adding/welding "gussets" to the angle, and from the angle to the frame rail.
I'll try to get ya a pic.
Kinda copied the Avalanche ones and made em adjustable.

Again this is not done...it will be bolted, and gusseted.
Shoudl be good.
I made the hangers too. ;)

Heres my front if you are curious.
square tube x member.
angle ffrom under tube up side of rail.
another piece welded to that outboard.
Then braced and "boxed in as shown.
Beefy...will mess up frame for sure in a front shot.
