I am putting a 5.0 in my CJ7 which has a metal tank, but I have a plastic 88 or 89 YJ tank. The YJ does not have baffles b/c it didn't have FI, but there are four little dimples at the bottom like EricRuhl's had in his YJ tank when the baffle broke: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=52916&highlight=baffle+gas+tank

Is there any way to get baffles in the YJ or CJ tank? or do I need to break down and get a post 91 YJ tank?
Do I REALLY need the baffles?

I looked through this thread to, but there was nothing specific enough about putting baffles in: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34659&highlight=baffle+gas+tank

Thanks
Jason

baffels cut the fuel slosh and make an attemt at keeping fuel to the pickup. if ya want them just put some in! stay away from foam ,sometimes it works great other times it clogs shat like crazy. I did oval track for a bit and the guys used to use cleaned well perferated oil containers.
then again all this is gonna fawk up a float style gauge unless ya secure it some way.
i have a GM style float in my cell so its not an issue
