Okay so my heater core is shot. It is leaking coolant all over the floor of my 76 CJ5. What are my options? I looked at the Blazer heater blower upgrade, but everything I have read says it will only work on later CJ's. I did a search, and, same thing. Anyone have an idea?
re-route your exhaust and put a cat under the driveside floorboard.

your jeep has a heater ??
all the core is is a friggen small radiator in a box with a fan
you should be able to make your own in a fawking afternoon for under a $100 that works better than the overpriced crap they sell.

I put a CAT heat exchanger under the seat. Mine came out of one of our drills rigs. Works great! It has two electric fans inside of it. And helps cool the motor in the summer. I also have the stock defroster.. Here is a pictures of it. Fits perfect under the seat. You need it here in Alaska :D

Sorry to offend you guys from CA where it never gets below 70, here we need a heater for the days where it drops below 10 degrees. Thanks for the fur suit idea, but I already have a set of carharts that work well. As for the YJ heater it won't work, not without more work than I care to use for a heater. I have been all over the internet, but everything deals with the later CJ's. And Doctor G, I am not a newbie, look at when I registered. I just don't post all that much.

76-77 CJ's have a different set up, you can not do the heater motor swap. best bet is to fix your current set up or try this

I must apologize for my lack of empathy, I only wheel in the winter because the summer is too hot. It does get cold at night in January down here. It gets so cold that a flannel shirt is necessary with shorts. burrrrrr :flipoff2:
