Monday I bought some standard factory style wheels w/factory 265 tires off of a guy who owns a 2001,and runs a alignment shop. Well I didn't try 'em on my new Dodge until tonight b/c it was gonna have to be realigned and I couldn't do it till tomorrow. Well guess what?! THEY DON'T FIT MY 97!!!! The front ones clear fine, but the rears won't clear my drums! What can I do? Is there anyway I can make 'em fit or am I imagining things!?!? I called the guy up and he won't give me my money back!! Say's his "wife won't let me" so I'm thinking the SORRY SON OF A B*TCH knew!!!! I just got took for $400 dollars!! Something tells me I won't be able to get that much for 'em either, and probably won't have anybody who wants 'em right away. So if any of you have any idea what I should do lemme know.

Maybe you can get spacers, depending on how far they don't fit. I guess the other option is change the rear to discs, since the front ones fit.

Well I don't think they're gonna fit cause his truck has disc's and mine has drums. Any idea what year they switched that over so maybe I can get me some stock wheels and tires?

chrysler did the disk swap in 2000.5. How don;t they fit?? does the lip of the rim hit the drum or what?? seems wierd to me that they don;t fit.

check with dodge. see if they make different drums. reason , along time ago when i bought my 73 it had some smooth line drums on the rear but the face edge nearest to the face of the rim stuck out enough that the wheels i was putting on and the offset of them just did not jive.
so i looked around at other trucks and found some off a 79 that i liked and it worked but this is just a suggestion.

I put some older factory 5 lug FORD rims that fit right on to my 95 Dodge 1500 4x4. Just a thought if you wanted to switch to 15' rims. That sucks that you got the shaft.
