: What do I have? Dana 60 & Dana 80?

I just got a rolling F350 chassis. It is a late 80's or early 90's 4x4. The front is plainly a reverse rotation dana 60 and I think the rear is a dana 80. The problem for me is they are dual rear wheel axles.

Is there a way I can use these for single rear wheel? Do I need to find some SRW outers for the front axle?

Also it has a 4-speed and tcase, would this be a np435? Are these pieces desirable?

I am thinking big block early bronco so let me know what you think.

Im not a ford guy, but the front is most definitley a HP 60. The rear is also Probably an 80but I May be mistaken. If its a 70 It could be good to use, but an 80 would be way overkill and too heavy (if youre thinking rockcrawling.)

It's probably a Sterling 10.25 rear. It's the same for a SRW and DRW, only difference are two locating pins for the wheels.

Hey mark, the dana 80 did not come in pickup's till 1999,if you have 12 bolts in the cover it is a 10.25 SRW sterling. The gas trucks had a 4 speed but it was a B.W. steve Differential eng. inc.

You are correct on the front, as long as no one swaped it. But if it has DRW hubs on a solid axle your good. The 4spd can be a t-18, t-19a, t-19c, NP435. The rear should be a 10.25, or a 70.

Look here. If it's a Dana 60 or 61 you will see that number cast in the web. I've never seen a 70 or 80 but if there is a 70 or 80 there, guess what? If there is no number there it's probably a Ford Sterling.
I think you can use the same hubs with single wheels just by changing the studs. I used dual wheel 61 hubs and they worked out very well. I had to cut them down just a bit to fit the disc rotors on but other than that and the much bigger bearings everything fit.
