Anyone have a chart of the weight and clearance of axles?

Dana 60 vs 9" vs 44 vs 8.8 vs 14 bolt?

There's a few more variables than that.

Full width? or Chopped 60 / 14?

Disc or drum?

Front or rear? I'm assuming rear because you said 8.8 & 14 bolt

The list goes on.

My guess would be from lightest to heaviest:
8.8 ~ 44 probably close to the same
60
14 bolt

Actual weights will vary significantly based on the above questions. I'm pretty sure my 60 rear is less than 300 lbs (maybe around 230-250) after converting to discs.

Try searching a little harder. There's plenty of this info already posted.

So why does the Chevy weigh so much more? Does gravity have less effect on the higher pinion?:D
