new to dodges...steering ?

just bought a 85 w150...lots of slop in the steering. someone told me they are notorious for slop at the slip joint on the shaft...true? also, how hard to rebuild? is rebuild even worth it, or should i look at a new shaft?

The rebuild option is cheap but your better off contacting Borgeson for one of theirs. I rebuilt mine several times but it just kept wearing with the big tires. So I opted for the custom shaft and lived happily ever after. THE END <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0">

the man knows what hes talking about. the borgenson shaft is great. have you checked the drag link for slop? also look at the bracket holding the box on the frame. have someone turn the wheels back and forth and look for the evil slop. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
