I bought a 79 Waggy 360 to swap into my 89 YJ. The 360 did not come with an alternator but did come with the brackets. I have searched and read all the old alternator posts here and elsewhere plus asked questions about what will fit. It has been suggested to me that the stocker was a Delco 10SI. I saw some posts here about the 10/12SI units but I don't know what to look for. I came across this unit for a CJ and wonder if anyone here knows if it will bolt in place of the stock alternator in a 79 waggy with a 360/auto/2bbl/with air? Is this a 10SI?
I also found this info after posting this. Is this what I need? (http://www.alternatorparts.com/alternators_gm.htm)
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks.

it should. Go to a junkyard. Open the hood of most any GM car (not brand new though) - that's what you want to find.
Or I've got a near new one I'll sell you. $50 + s/h

How many amp is it?
Is it single or double V-belt?
If I can't find one in the yard next weekend I will definitely take you up on your offer as long as it is at least 100 amps.
Thanks.
