Well I went with a J-20 steering gear and I bought new lines and a re-man pump.

I searched through past post and got this web site http://www.off-road.com/~jweed/pwrstr.htm And modified mine to do the same.

I put it all back together and the the pump leaks like a bitch from the front seal.

Edit.... that was yesterday, today I put a new pump on the jeep and did the mods from the the link that was posted here yeaterday.


It works great! It's gonna be nice to have steering at low speeds again.

Looks like I'll get this one working just for next weekend and put my order in for one of those babies!!!


It has to be the pump seal. The probably f#cked it up when they rebuilt it.

I'll try again tomarrow. (As much as I hate to!)
