Old cab-over eh?

Got air-ride? Your going to need it :homer:

The truck is air ride, the cab is not. The ride wasn't terrible until I took off a drom box and the 5th wheel plate. With no weight in the back it is certainly interesting. When I get done with my flatbed and 3,000lb rear bumper it should be a lot better.

kommiefornia has two classes, commercial A, and non commercial A.. that wont fit the non com A without adding living quarters to the rig itself...so yeah, you're screwed :)

I live in missouri and it was fairly easy to register it as an rv. Ah yes an rv. I don't need a cdl even though it was a road tractor, has airbrakes, a 14.6 liter cat and a gvwr of 50,000 lbs(it weighs 17,000 lbs empty so that gives me a bit to play with:flipoff2:). I had to add a few things and get it inspected by the highway patrol to change the title. I am certain that California will fight you the entire way but I know it was possible to do this, but there are certain rules like you can't have tandem axles in CA(which is strange because some of those giant pusher rvs come from the factory with tandems).

i have a commercial license but as i was saying reg would probabaly be outragous . what sort of things in your state have to be done to swap it to rv status ? thats interesting youre probably right though i could see cali fighting me till the end . so i was thinkin why not put on like a 57 chevy truck body or somthin , aside from having to do it, but think of the possbilitys...:smokin:

Before all that you need to run the rack and take the screw out. You'll have plenty of fuel then.

I had to add 5 of six of the following. Refrigerator, toilet, potable water(sink), cooking area, power inverter, and a heater and/or air conditioning.
I installed a mini fridge, a coleman camping toilet, a microwave, a power inverter, and a space heater. I had a huge drom box behind the cab that I installed all of this stuff in.

Rooster booster, the frame has been stretched 8ft to accommodate the drom box which was perfect for my application.

The motor has been turned up, and it is turbocharged. I will cab it over and get some pics of the interior and engine next week. I have had a lot of car projects over the years but I have never been more excited about one.

no, 3406s aren't turboed:shaking:

the intake is setup as such as they cant have your typical hood mounted air cleaners, as given the overall design of the truck
