OK, I know is it horrible to think of but I have a chance to pick up some YJ 4" BDS lift springs from a buddy for cheap and was wondering if they would work on my FJ-40. I know u can switch out CJ and YJ springs so i thought this may be possible. I know this is only asking for flames but the FJ is already 1/3 Chevy anyway :D

Those spings have a centered center pin. The LC springs have them offset, you would need to have both drivelines reworked
And I imagine a bunch of other little sh^t to make them fit.

Oh and it may be 1/3 chevy but it is 0% j**p, It should stay that way:flipoff2:

Hey now at least us JEEP guys wouldnt be caught dead with toyota parts on our rigs!!!J/K Anyway I have heard of a few guys going to the waggoneer fronts in a spring over. I would think like mentioned earlier that the YJ leafs are centered and a little short for your application. I dont know if you are concidering a SOA or spring under. If you are going spring under I would just find some 4in fj front lift springs (do a search or ask for ones that break in nice and flexy) and if you want a spring over I would concider waggy fronts(stock 5 or 6 leafs) they lay almost flat and flex great. That will get you alot of lift though, like room for 38s. Also as a note on the yj springs they were designed for a jeep that weighs in at 3000 to 3500lbs and are prone to wear and failure quick on a heavy rig like a cruiser, so the waggoneer weighs in at the same if not more than the fj. Maybe even try the waggys with a 4in lift spring under, and let us know how it works. One more thing, I almost forgot. Waggy springs are 47in long, YJs are 45in. and I think fjs are 45.5. The waggy also has a 2in offset center pin.

well of course not, if you wnted a real rig you would have just bought a cruiser.:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

really theres nothing wrong with putting jeep springs on the cruiser, similar weights and such they would prolly work nice, you will hjave to rework your hangers to get the axle where you want it, but it should be a nice swap for a SUA lift.

yea i was definatly going to go SUA (My Dad will only let me get 33's so no SOA for me YET! :D ) My birthday is actualy comeing up in october so i may just wait and get a new lift. What do yall think about Pinacle Enginearing's (JT outfitters) lift? I have herd it is a Stiff lift. I may just spend some extra mony and go with the BDS because of the lifetime warrantee and i have tons of friends that love there BDS lifts. THANKS GUYS!
