I know that AEV makes a 104" and a 112" TJ. But there got to be more companies doing this?!

Any info, like websites and/or phonenumbers to AEV's competitors (?) would be great.

TIA

I did, but didn't find really what I was looking for - am lookin for something, kind of, out of the box.

Don't have the time /or the skill?/ to do such a job by myself...

There is no competition to AEV. I seen thier work and it is pro quality. You can't even tell where they cut it....looks like DC made them that way.

and this infomerical was brought to you by Luckey Strikes.....toasted to taste better. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Its too bad AEV only does this to new vehicles. If they would do it to my YJ, Id have them do it in a heartbeat.

You double posted this in JU but look in the Jeep News thread in the Jeep section here and you'll see some too:flipoff2:

I am selling my 2000 TJ 104 tub and frame with full cage and soft top. Figuring out new project cost. No price just yet.

You could ask them....I know the first one they ever did was a YJ.

It's not really that hard, just very time consuming on the sheet metal work (then again, I knew nothing about sheet metal when I started)

Rock Taxi, looked at your web site. Nice CJ-5 I really like it. Stretched 5’s are becoming very appealing to me.

How much did you splice into the tub and frame?
Did you move the seat location back any?
What is the wheelbase?
What type of coil springs are you using in the front and rear?

Actually there is a company in Knoxville who stretches TJs. I prefer their design in that it makes the jeep a 4 door. The company is TVC I believe (tennessee valley conversions). There is a local HS kid who has one here in town. I've seen it on the road a couple of times and it looks sweet.

I'm sure there are alot of custom body shops that would be able to do this, no matter what its going to cost alot of time or money though.

Thanks! I have had fun monkeying around with my Jeep.

To answer your questions:

I added 19.5" to the body, and 20" to the tub.

The seat slides back about 4 more inches since the wheelwell is out of the way.

The wheelbase right now is at 108" That may move around a bit as I try to fit my 42's tomorrow.

I am using OEM FJ80 front coils up front, and OEM 6 cylinder TJ Front coils out back.

Thanks Rock Taxi. How about posting a pic when you get the 42's on?
