As of right now KOH is on the bubble for us.

Can't wait for this! I remember talking with Dave after last years main race and he said he wasn't sure if there would be a LCQ this year. I told him that the LCQ was actually the best race from a spectators point. It's going to be tough for the guys that run the first day having to wait till the end of the second day to see if they are in or not.

I cant go to pusu because I dont have the vehicle that I will be using for KOH (tubes are being bent for the new car now). If I could have taken a borrowed car, or if I had my new car I would be there. The timing for pusu has never worked for me because I am always in a build/rebuild phase. I hope to make next years though.

I'm David Smiley team 609 Smiley Racing coming out from CT. Ryan Connor of VA is my co-dawg in all this madness. I've raced all the Rausch Creek races this year in my garage built pile but at the LCQ we're going to race something a bit nicer :) We didn't finish the RCQ but came in 6th and 10th in the fall races :smokin:

By way of a bio I'm just a local east coast wheeler but I can honestly say I beat Dave Cole racing in September :smokin: He shoulda ran my donkey rather than Zach's brama :D Having Eugene as his co-driver is probably what really did it in :flipoff2:

Tim from Liquid Iron Industries in NJ better get started with the shop full of parts he has on Monday or we'll be walking the LCQ :flipoff2:

Looking forward to freezing my butt off, being blown around by the wind like I'm in a tent rather than an RV and generally having the time of our lives!

My Co Driver is Stu Wilkinson.

Ran in the RCQ, but had a plethora of mechanical failure that Thursday.
We didnt make it far in the race, at all.
Just say... I walked back to start/finish b4 the first guy came thru to finish their first lap. :flipoff2:

I'll be racing the New Rig, "TW2" by Tim at Liquid Iron for the 1st time at the LCQ. (Link in Sig)
I can't wait for this, I've been thinking about not much else.
Hopefully we'll have all the bugs worked out by then.

Seeya all there.

THE DRINK OF THE GODS
According to legend, a lightning bolt struck an agave plant and thus mezcal originated, which is why it is considered a drink from the heavens, an "Elixir of the gods". The word mezcal comes from the Nahuatl word mexcalli, which in English means "leaves of cooked Maguey"

$300 usd is the going rate for a bottle of good mezcal in the USA, Japan, Skandinavia, and Spain.

GET READY TO PARTY BONGO STYLE IN THE DESERT! 2 bottles have been snuk in thru homeland security for KOH! Oh yeah and a whole lots of TECATE REEBS!

Rig is traveling from Dearborn Heights Michigan to KOH - 2250 miles!

If you add up the miles on both trips it easily hits the 8500+ miles of bongo traveling.

Beer and food is always welcome. The more the merrier! :grinpimp:

Any chance of bringing some of that good ole Georgia Moonshine to keep us warm in the desert:)

Yes thank you. I knew I should have gotten a refund on my masters degree :)

My question came from this line in Dave's first post:
"Edit: I've already had a few confirmed MIA application. Let me know if you're name is missing."

So I'm reasonably sure the list in post one has not been updated with any additional applications/people who were on the borderline of getting in one time.

Perhaps I'm wrong and the final list of applicants is still at 57 teams. in the grand scheme is probably doesn't matter as several teams who signed up won't make it or crap will even happen on the way to JV or whatever. Since I'm one of the LCQ competitors I was curious to see what the total group has grown too. And a few people got in through PUSU that are on this list.

Theres a list in the very first post in this thread. :roxy:
