OK so im either going to be getting puma 60 gal (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=34887) or kobalt 60 gal (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=221565-14989-LLA3706056&detail=cr&lpage=none) and im going to be looking for air tools. Im curious as to what brands to look for and what to look for in the tools. I am mainly looking for a 3/8" ratchet, 1/2 impact, and something to sand/polish an aluminum wakeboard tower. What tool would be best for the polishing/sand of the tower? Im looking to spend under $100 for each tool. If that isnt enough to get some quality(hope to have for a very long time) then let me know. Ive been looking at craftsman and IR, and im getting confused to what the differences are or if they are any good.

IR makes some of the best air tools. Better that any Snap-On and I'm a Snap-On whore.

I prefer IR myself but have had decent luck with Chicago Pneumatic as well.

As far as the 1/2" gun, buy the best IR you can afford and don't look back.

I get all of my IR stuff from Northern. They carry a full line of IR air tools.

Sure wish I had a THUNDER GUN:mr-t:

just get the classic IR gun. 3/8th ratchet really depens on how much power you need. i would also get a 3/8 butterfly gun, there real nice to have around.
harbor freight 1/2in impact sockets are a good buy also.

ok so IR it is, now what would be a good tool to sand/wetsand an aluminum wakeboard tower for a boat, its pitted, so i want to sand it down, then polish it, then clear coat it. Any ideas of what air tool would be best fitted for that?

Aside from the polishing question maybe here's your same thread, same questions:
