idk how badass it is it's a basically stock motor in that thing and its a 302, would pretty much suck to drive in the rain or through a mudhole as well

It's a good start, a 460 would make it fun.

+1, or even a bigger Windsor.

Is his steering mount/guard welded to both the axle housing and the diff cover??

yeah, looks pretty hokey. I don't know about the tall links coming off of the steering arms either. Seems like a lot of leverage on those. Why not high steer arms?

It's cool looking at least, I haven't studied it up close. I saw it on the trail at Bridgeport a couple of weeks ago.

Kinda hard to tell for sure but it looks to me like it has high steer arms and they are also tied into the factory tie rod location on the knuckle for more support.

Looks like it has a round cap on the tube end not welded to the cover to me.

It does have highsteer arms tied into the stock knuckles.

I'm not very knowledgeable on link setups, but I'm not very impressed by the rear suspension either.
1. Is that truss adequate?
2. Is it sitting at ride height? Shouldn't it have at least a couple inches of uptravel?
3. Are those shock tabs strong enough?

I'm not implying that the rear setup isn't done right so much as asking cuz I don't know much about building a 4-link.

The welds aint pretty but it looks kinda like hes just making to many passes instead of not being adequate... it aint pretty by any means but I wouldnt see a problem with it holding.

I like how he built the rear half of the cage with 10+" of uptravel in mind, yet the shocks bottom out 1" up from ride height? Definately well thought out...*cough*. I would at least make the rear section hang down a little lower, no reason to have it that high if it doesnt have any uptravel.

Why not build so that you CAN run that much uptravel? Just cause hes not doesnt mean you shouldnt build that option in.

why is it not thought out? Maybe he has a different set of airshocks/coilovers with different measurements to make use of that design or maybe he was in the future... who knows?

Maybe he built it then decided to sell it for a 4 seater for his family before finishing it all the way.

Oh wait, i cheated, thats what the CL ad said here in Bedford a few months back :flipoff2:
